The Leinster Rugby Southeast Area Bryan Murphy Memorial Cup Final took place in Alcast Park on Saturday night. The game drew a great crowd on what was a cold and damp night.
Contested between local teams the South East Lions and New Ross RFC, the game was a tightly fought battle with only a converted try separating the teams at the end, with New Ross 7 - 0 winners.
The game was attended by the Murphy family with Bryan's children Emma and James presenting the Bryan Murphy Memorial Cup to the captain of the New Ross team.
