Our AIL teams play Clonmel on Saturday in our second home game at Alcast Park with a 2.30.p.m kick off. This comes after tough outing against Thomond last week, where due to absences many players especially in backs were forced to play out of position which had big impact on cohesion especially in defence. Hopefully as GAA season comes to a conclusion we will have more returning players to strengthen the side, this been an annual early season problem for the club.
South East Lions have started their season as they finished last season with good wins and are nicely placed at top end of table after promotion last year. They travel to take on UCD on Sunday full of confidence, a credit to players , coaches and managers.
Due to lack of commitment from some players our J1 have failed to fulfil their two league fixtures which is a worrying trend for club, players need to take stock and make a commitment, we need to rectify this trend and get their season up and running.
Our under 20 in conjunction with Gorey had their first league game last Sunday when they entertained Coolmine at Alcast Park and came away with a credible draw in an open game of rugby with some super tries.
Our under age season is up and running with match reports where received attached. Please see all weekend fixtures below and dont forget to install club zap for all latest news.
A great new addition to club facilities was the official opening of our walking track at minis last Sunday morning with IRFU Stephen Gore doing the honours.
