New Walking Track Officially Opened at Enniscorthy Rugby Club

Enniscorthy Rugby Club officially opened its new walking track recently, adding another valuable facility for members and the wider community.

The opening was attended by Stephen Gore, IRFU Spirit of Rugby Project Manager, along with club president Liam Spratt and committee members Ted Creed and Rory Fanning.

The club extended its sincere thanks to the IRFU and Healthy Ireland for providing the funding for the track. Construction was carried out over the summer by club member Paul Flood, with lighting installed by Bruce Chapman. The floodlit track will be a great asset for members looking to get their steps in on dark winter evenings, and for parents who want to stay active while their children are training.

The walking track is the latest in a series of improvements at the club. Recent upgrades include solar panels, LED lighting, upgraded bar refrigeration and new floodlights. A rainwater harvesting system and an upgrade to the front pitch lighting are due to be completed early next year.

Enniscorthy Rugby Club would like to thank everyone who has supported these projects.
