After a slow start in the first half the U14 boys went in at the break losing 17-0. Mullingar used the wind effectively and looked to pin us back with clever kicks.
We finally came to life in the second half with Cian O'Loughlin scoring a barnstorming try from 60 yards out. Cian was a running threat throughout the game.
We then gave away a soft try against the run of play but we showed massive character and pride to battle out a draw with further tries from Evan Dooly, Noah Doran and Zack Hill.
Evan had a massive game today and was ably supported by Tiernan and Noah putting in important tackles and drives.
The lads voted Thomas Whitty today's man of the match. Thomas came on as a sub and made some brilliant and crucial tackles late on. Zack, Liam and Max also made important hits which was great to see.
