It's hard to believe that the summer is over, school is back and the temperatures are dropping, although given we had the coldest summer since 2015 it is not like we are missing the hot temperatures! But on the plus side it means the rugby season is back - our players and volunteers have had a well deserved break and are raring to go. The pitches are in excellent condition, thanks to the team who worked on them over the summer, painted the goalposts and carried out all the other important jobs during the break.

Tag was great success, well done to the organising team and congratulations to the winners. The Golf Classic was also a massive success again this year, thanks to everyone involved and well done to the winners there too. We don't underestimate the amount of work that goes into these events and we appreciate all the funds raised for the Club.

Our Youths teams are back in action this weekend, all fixtures are available on your newsfeed or on the website. Best of luck to all our teams competing. Minis are training again this Sunday morning, great to see everyone back and as ever we are always looking for new joiners.

Memberships are open for the season. Without your membership we cannot run the Club on a day to day basis. To pay this year's membership please go to your Clubzap app and click on the clubhouse logo in the bottom right hand corner. Then click on Membership.  Don't select Renewal. As this is our first full season using the app it doesn't recognise you from prior years. Click on 'You can view and sign up to our membership packages here'. That will then allow you to select Club Membership 2024/25. If you have any issues please contact Ted Creed on 087 299 1916 or Amy Stafford on 087 942 8192 and they'll be happy to help.

I'm delighted that Gerald Dunne has agreed to continue in the role of Club President this year, and I'd like to welcome Ted Creed who takes up the role of Honorary Secretary. Thanks also to our new Child Welfare Officer Noirín Doyle and the rest of our new committee for agreeing to represent the Club for the coming season. We look forward to our Seniors back in full action soon. When you are in the Club next make sure to have a look at our new wall facing the back pitch. I think the message is important, we want everyone to feel like they belong at Enniscorthy RFC. Thanks to Spud and Theresa Shanahan for organising it and special thanks to Bolger Brothers Hardware for their sponsorship.

It just leaves me to wish a successful and safe season to our players at all levels and I look forward to seeing you all over the coming weeks.

Annette Soraine,
Chairperson
