On Sunday, the club held it's Sporting Memories event. Sporting Memories aims people together to reminisce about their lives through the medium of sport. The Sporting Memories programme is led by people with a desire to help people with dementia, their families and supporters to stay engaged in their communities.

The event saw a vast array of memorabilia; photos, articles, minute books, match programmes, slideshows. The memorabilira on show spanned many decades of the club and documented the club's journey, ups and downs, over it's existence.

Club President Gerald Dunne spoke to various guests about their memories of the club: members of the 1989 Town's Cup winning team, Ivan Poole, Stellah Sinnott. Heather Musgrave from the Alzheimer's Society of Ireland was a guest on the day. We were also lucky to have Sally Veale and Karina Somers from St John's Hospital.

Attendees on the day gathered and regaled stories from over the years, sharing their memories and stand moments of Enniscorthy RFC while enjoying a cup of tea and cake.

A massive thank you goes out to the organising committee and all those who donated memorabilia for the occasion.
