President Gerald Dunne hosted 50 people for an AIL pre-match lunch. Travelling club Bangor were represented by Club President Drew Kennedy and Chairman Ian Kennedy. The room was filled with sponsors, local politicians, the trustees of the rugby club, club members and members of the local community.

Tony Ensor was unable to make the lunch to speak so trustee Nicholas Sweetman stood in at short notice and regaled tales of his time playing rugby. Annette Soraine, chairwoman, filled guests in on our ambitious plans for the future.

Credit goes to the sub committee who organised and set up the event as well as the team of helpers that helped out on the day.

Following the lunch guests were treated to a great performance of rugby on the pitch with the senior team beating Bangor 48-15.
